Rear Speakers not working

Hopefully someone can help. I have a 2007 Civic SI Coupe all stock and the rear speakers have stopped working all of a sudden. I’ve checked the fuses and they are all good. Where is the stock amp located if there is one? Also, any invite for possible resolution would be appreciated. My civic also does not have navigation if that helps.

I have a 2008 EX coupe, and my rear speakers stopped working about a year ago. It turned out that all three speakers were actually fried, even though I really don't listen to my stereo loud at all. Not sure if it was humidity or what, but the wiring in the voice coils was corroded. So, I just replaced all three speakers with aftermarket ones. If you do that, be sure to get the factory size, because if you get ones that are even 1/4 inch bigger, you'll need to bend metal to make them fit. Also, there's only about one subwoofer that fits... it's a Pioneer unit with reduced depth. Most subwoofers will not clear the torsion bars on the trunk lid. I ended up removing my torsion bars, and mounted a hydraulic strut for the trunk lid, which let me use a much nicer subwoofer than I otherwise would have been able to.

Now, I just need to make the deck trim stop rattling :)

Oh, and the amplifier is probably at the front end of the center console... kind of underneath the little storage thing underneath the radio/cd/nav unit. Or at least, that's where it's at in my car (I don't have nav, just premium sound). I think you have to remove the center console to get to it. [Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about any of this.]

Thank you! I am in South Carolina so you could be right. I’ll check that out.
Yeah, I'm in Alabama, and we have very muggy summers here. To test them, you can either take them out and try powering them with a home stereo receiver, or you can take the receiver out to the car and do the same thing. That's how I figured out they were completely blown. Good luck.
I figured out the issue and it’s exactly what you said. I plugged in an old speaker that I know works and it worked in all three spots.

That's interesting. I wonder how common this problem is. Also, I wonder what's different about the back speakers, because my factory original front and door speakers are still working just fine.
Yeah my factory front speakers are working also! Seems like it’s a common thing with this generation along with the paint issue.
I have the same problem.. and assumed its the amplifier. service manual say's try this try that, then says swap with known good amp which is not so easy for an individual with no test amp just laying around the house.

I ripped out kick panels and followed/checked wiring thinking maybe a connector came loose but that was not the issue. (Connectors, back of amp but that would take out all speakers, connector under the fuse panel, and another one behind c-pillar panel).
Funny, in the Midwest frozen tundra I lost the front door speakers in my 07 ex sedan in 2011 long before the deck... replaced with some decent JL lower watt units to match what the head is, and they basically overpowered the like new deck speakers, so those were replaced a couple weeks later. Then I missed the lows of my early adulthood experiences in car audio... so found a custom 10" box for behind the driver rear wheel well, and a small class d amp, went kicking around loving it... that setup was in the car when I traded in February.
Just bought a ‘10 SI and all three rears are out as well, I’ll try the speaker swap first as reading this and other threads it appears that is the most common issue. It was a California car so maybe humidity/salt air did them in.

I live in sunny South Florida and with all the heavy rain I'd expect the door speakers to go, (and they are in bad shape but not blown), because the doors are known to have an issue with water intrusion and poor drainage.

But the rear deck, where my 3 speakers are located in the coupe, get no unusual moisture so to me the corrosion or water issue just does not make sense. It also does not make sense that all 3 speakers (2x6.5 and the sub) would go at the same time.

I don’t disagree, maybe the amp is just over driving the stock speakers at high volumes and blew them? Regardless, wiring is all intact and this car was well cared for so. The easiest first step is to try swapping a speaker and see if that resolves it, which I’ll get to at some point and report back.

Will they help with a paint job?
Paint was addressed by extending the warranty, I think to 7 years.. I had my '08 Black Pearl, in the dealer for repaint, they did a partial job main area affected was the rear trunck deck, back half or the roof and rear quarter panels. The did a pretty ok job blending the paint.. but a few years later the roof looks horrible its kind of haf a powdery grayish look to now more flat black and not smooth, and I'm seeing white spots 1/4" or so in the quarter panels. The dealer said tuff crap and its been that way now for years.

My rear speakers, including sub quit working couple years ago, I'm pretty sure it's the amp... just don;t drive enuf anymore to see the need to fix.

i pulled out 2 of my front door speakers, both show OL on the multimeter. No power going in, so they were dead too, on my 07 CIVIC LX Sedan. The rear one's are starting to weaken a bit. MIght have to buy a set of 4 later on.
