so i went to Inline4 today and purchased the rear type r emblem for the 07 sedan and it doesn't fit flush. is this the way it's supposed to be or is there something else that i need to do?

looks fine from the front

and now from the sides....

is there anything that i can do???

they reasured me that this was the right emblem

remove that crappy double sided tape and put your own, put extra thick around the edges and be sure to cover the little stubs in there. I made mine flush.

My emblem looks nothing like that from the sides, Mine fits perfect with the curve of the vehicle. I do suspect that you have the wrong emblem. I purchased from:

Technically he got the real JDM FD2 emblem & that's why it is curved. The portion of the trunk that the FD2 emblem is mounted on is curved so that is why the emblem is curved too so it fits flush on the FD2's trunk. I got the 02-03 EP3 CTR front emblem for my FA5 to use on the trunk.

omg you guys, yes u got the REAL emblem for the jdm trunk, all you gotta do is pry that silver curved **** off the back and get the 3m tape and retape it and it will fit flush

i filed it down then put 3m tape on the back, it fit flush. then i read this..lol

or buy a JDM trunk to make it fit! lol! but def. you got the wrong one. i'll use the one that they sell for ep3's.
