so i drove an si for the first time in a while the other day and it felt like i was shifting through butter with a hot knife! (amazing)

but when i went to go home in my reg civic i got really annoyed because when i shift it feels like im trying to pass a butter knife through wood..
its not bad at 6.5k (or maybe i just dont notice it since i shift fast..)

my question is how the heck do i fix this? if i can.. its been like that since i bought it. and im a noob to tranny stuff other than what ive read.
HELP!

The R18 tranny is like that. Its like the older B-series honda engine trannies. The R18 tranny is just not as refined as the k-series tranny. Nothing is wrong with it, it just feels notchy. The only trannies i know that runs as butter smooth is just the k-series trannies, and mazdaspeed 6 and 3 trannies.
