So I've owned my car for well over 10 years now and the canadian winters have taken a beating on the metal. I need to replace my muffler before selling my car. Should I just cut it off and weld on a pipe (i afraid this will be rice cause my car is auto) or should I get a generic muffler? (i can't stand this because of the 2 inch pipe they probably have)... I don't want to spend money on a whole cat back like a yonaka either cause Im selling the car. Any options? Budget is around $100.
thanks

If just selling it, I would go to a junker and see if they have an intact one that you could pull off. Some let you take parts off yourself for minimal cost. I hear you on the Canadian winters. Mine's 8 years old and I'm seeing rust in a few places. Not as bad as some but this last one really shows it. Especially the braces under both my headlights, it's ready to crumble off.
