I want to try and get some info on a R18 to R20 swap in this thread for myself and anyone else who would want to further persue information about it. At this point I know next to nothing about doing this swap or if its even possible or worth it. I know that the R20 is in 07+ crv's and 08+ accords. Here is some info that I have found. It isnt much but its a starting point.

Scratch this idea. i'm pretty sure the r20 is in like models in asia. all the accords and crvs in the U.S. seem to have K series.

Why do an R20 when you can do a k24/k20z3 hybrid? o_O

If you're interested in power the r20 is likely going to have some economy oriented vtec head

wow resurecting and old thread lol.

Reason is k20 swap is far too expensive and labor intensive to make it worth it. it would be cheaper to just trade it for an si. you need basically the entire front clip from an si.

with the r20 all you would need is the bottom end and a couple other things r18 head would be used. just need to get it ported to match.

bad thing is r20 is only in asia.

yes a subframe, rsx ps pump, and either an si wiring harness and ecu or hondata kpro piggybacked onto an rsx ecu ran in series with your ecu (custom harness)

on top of many other small things

dont forget steering rack from a fg2 or fa5. they are electric...r18 is hydraulic.
