Hello guys,

I've been looking for about a year now to bypass that EGR delete and get rid of the CEL.

I've tried so many options and all of them didn't work.

Yet, I believe the resistor trick I've tried still is the best solution as many other cars do it.

Anyone know which pins I should put the resistor on? there's 5 different ports as you can see from the below picture. I've tried connecting pretty much all of them and nothing is working! I used a 10k ohm resistors.

Just reinstall a thoroughly cleaned EGR valve. Install a blanking device first then reconnect the 5-pin harness. Problem solved.

Via the 5-pin terminal, the ECM needs to check that the EGR valve moves according to its commanded % opening. Else, the CEL will appear. I do not see how this can be defeated by installing a resistor.
