Thanks for reply!
How much is it cost for that option? I can't find air conditioning option for DX from Honda web site.

my personal thought is that any car without air conditioning in this day and age is archaic... after all the parts are bought and installed you might as well have bought the LX and gotten the upgraded tires and sound system

So ture SapphireRaven-intimidator, if you wanted a/c you should have bought the lx, but if you figured on saving money then I guess why you went dx. You'll save a lot of money not having a/c. Is the enviroment you live in tropical, where rolling down windows is good enough for you?-

It's sad, i've had to run my air conditioning for the last 3 weeks now. I live in Texas and we're having really weird weather. 86 degrees in the middle of January is just not right. I wish I lived somewhere that I could drive w/ out a/c.

for honda's, its cheaper to buy the next model up with A/C then to upgrade the A/C in your current model. Not only do you get the A/C in the next model up, its also under then 3yr warranty, not just 1 year.. and you get extra features such as power locks, maybe mirrors, etc.. depends on what year honda we are talking about.

with dealer installed accessories, such as the A/C, you get the remainder of your car's warranty or 12 months/12,000 miles...whichever is more.

How often do you guys use ur ac? I only use it when my windows are fogged or when I need the heater. I'm stingy on gas :(
Any time that it is warm enough I use the AC instead of rolling down the windows. I know that the AC drags on the engine, but so does the parachute effect caused by the air coming in an open window and hitting he back window.

i'm sorry, an accessory installed at the time of purchase is covered under the 3 year, 36k mile warranty. Any accessory installed afterwards is only 1 yr/12k miles. I'm not sure if you can extend the warranty afterwards though on accessories purchased after making the deal. I'm sure if you cry enough, they might help you out 50/50.

wrong. You should read your warranty booklet (page 33 in particular) in detail before spreading crap information.

This warranty applies to any
accessory distributed by American
Honda and purchased from a Honda
automobile dealer in the United
States, Puerto Rico, or the U.S.
Virgin Islands.
Time and Mileage Period
Accessories Installed Prior to
Retail Sale:
This warranty begins on
the same date as the New Vehicle
Limited Warranty (see page 13). All
accessories are covered for the
length of the New Vehicle Limited
Warranty: 3 years or 36,000 miles,
whichever comes first.
Accessories Installed by the Dealer
After Retail Sale:
This warranty
begins on the date the accessory is
installed on the vehicle. All
accessories are covered for the
longer of the following two periods
:
1) the time remaining in the New
Vehicle Limited Warranty,
or
2) 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever
comes first.

Accessories Not Installed by a
Honda Dealer:
This warranty
begins on the date the accessory is
purchased from a Honda dealer. All
accessories are covered for 1 year.
Warranty Coverage
Honda will repair or replace any
Honda accessory that is defective in
material or workmanship under
normal use. Honda will decide if an
accessory will be repaired rather
than replaced. If the accessory was
installed by a Honda dealer, all parts
and labor costs are covered. If the
accessory was installed by someone
else, the cost of all parts to repair or
replace it are covered by Honda, but
you must pay the labor costs.

Interesting how Honda trains you different when you work for them.
