I mean no air compressor in DX?

The part can be purchased aftermarket from a discount Honda parts retailer. I also thought I orginally saw it on the Honda site, however, it is not there now.

I would say around $1000 for the a/c parts plus another 1000 for install. So my guess is around $2000 for ac installed.

So ture SapphireRaven-intimidator, if you wanted a/c you should have bought the lx, but if you figured on saving money then I guess why you went dx. You'll save a lot of money not having a/c. Is the enviroment you live in tropical, where rolling down windows is good enough for you?-

It's sad, i've had to run my air conditioning for the last 3 weeks now. I live in Texas and we're having really weird weather. 86 degrees in the middle of January is just not right. I wish I lived somewhere that I could drive w/ out a/c.

for honda's, its cheaper to buy the next model up with A/C then to upgrade the A/C in your current model. Not only do you get the A/C in the next model up, its also under then 3yr warranty, not just 1 year.. and you get extra features such as power locks, maybe mirrors, etc.. depends on what year honda we are talking about.

Any time that it is warm enough I use the AC instead of rolling down the windows. I know that the AC drags on the engine, but so does the parachute effect caused by the air coming in an open window and hitting he back window.

i'm sorry, an accessory installed at the time of purchase is covered under the 3 year, 36k mile warranty. Any accessory installed afterwards is only 1 yr/12k miles. I'm not sure if you can extend the warranty afterwards though on accessories purchased after making the deal. I'm sure if you cry enough, they might help you out 50/50.
