Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the motor without removing the transmission? (I know that it's possible with an auto tranny, because you can unbolt the torque converter from the flywheel via dust/inspection plate. But the clutch assembly does not detach from the flywheel like that.) I was trying to lift the motor out with transmission still in place, but there doesn't seem to be enough room for the clutch assembly to clear the transmission housing. I think I need to remove the manual transmission....

So, I am planning on removing the subframe/transmission as the next step to removing the motor..... perhaps should have just followed Honda Manual instructions and removed motor/transmission thru the bottom, but lifting a car over a motor seems weird and risky for a newby.

Thanks for any advice.
