Maybe it is just that the illumination bulb has failed ?? Is it the only one not lighting ??

Some have the T series replaceable bulb/socket assemblies.

The illumination bulbs are a bulb and plastic base assembly.

The bulb goes into the side of the switch, twist base left to remove.

They run quite hot and have always been prone to failure over the years in the Civics (most likely others that use them as well)

It would be costly for the dealers labor if out of warranty, you might want to ask for an estimate. Part is around $4
