2006 Civic EX-L Galaxy Grey with oxidized paint everywhere. HOA paid for my roof, hood, and trunk to be repainted in 2012 with 112k miles on it. Now it’s 2019 and I’m at 227k miles and the front side fenders and rear side fenders and doors have bad oxidation spots with peeling clear coat. The entire vehicle should have been repainted because the roof hood and trunk still look great, so clearly the entire paint job from the factory was defective. It just took longer because the sides of the car aren’t in direct sunlight like the roof hood and trunk. Cars been bulletproof besides this issue. Got an estimate to fix those areas at a cost of $1,278. Same people who did the work on the roof hood and trunk. Honda did extend the warranty, but it’s at their discretion. 12 Honda’s and this Civic will be my last Honda product. Cmon Honda, stand by your products. They know it’s an issue and defect. Just greed.
