I recently got my 8th gen about 2 months ago and I have been trying to figure out this problem with the windshield since then. I don’t know what part I need. I came across some other threads about this same issue and they ordered a part that looked like it went from the windshield to the back of the car. I am not missing the piece the runs along the time only that runs alongside the clips. I might be mistaken and that might have been the right part that I needed. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

that was the right piece, it goes from windshield all the way to the rear of roof.

Thank you I appreciate it, but I am still confused because don’t those two pieces go all the way past the top part of the car? I thought I had the piece that goes all the way back there just not the rubber piece.

Yes goes all the way to the back whole assembly. Ive bought these 2 pieces before.

I just replaced both sides of mine. $100 each for the drip moldings. Hondapartsnow.com for the clips and retainers.
This video was very helpful in understanding how to remove and install.
