hey guys i know the standard for cleaning and wax is pretty much meguiars or mothers but what paint polish do you guys recommend?

if this has been covered already my bad i tried looking for it

Sorry to call you out and look like a doodie-head, but you seriously did no searching what-so-ever and should retract your statement that you ever did so. This topic is widely discussed in numerous threads.

Assuming you intend to use it to polish the whole car... Hopefully your intending on machine application? I guess if you were you'd know...

Hand application is not recommended. You will get minimal results with a ridiculous amount of work. That said, you shop for polishes depending on what you want to do. If you are wanting to remove heavy spider webbing, fine scratches, etched water spots, ect, you will want a heavier polish. Meguiars just came out with a new formula which is fantastic. m105 is the heavier polish while m205 is the lighter one. For cars as new as ours, m205 should be all you need. Always use the least aggressive pad and polish combination.
