I would always use Honda parts whenever possible. The rrc and j35 tb are great options. U won't need the tbs if you get those. Also, look at a site sponsor import dps he can give you a great package deal. His name is Rick.

Your car looks similar to mine, and this setup would be nearly identical to mine, minus the aggressive cams. :wavey:

I make 222whp on a historically low-reading dyno. My mods are:

ImportDPS Rick Spec'd 3.5" CAI
Skunk2 MegaPower Header
Skunk2 MegaPower RR 76mm Exhaust
RRC Intake Manifold & Gasket
J35 Throttle Body & Gasket
Hondata Flashpro
ImportDPS Dyno Tune

yeah thats were i saw that packaged deal I'm going with
and i wanted 520 injectors just so i can keep F/I (S/c) in the midst.

can i ask you to "explain me" what is "RRC" ?? is that a brand? is it plug & play?? im interested on buying some more stuff for my N/A SI :D
hey, RRC doesn't have an actual meaning its the "name" or the tag they give a intake manifold. the ones on our si is RBC, its simply like a code to distinguish between different OEM manifolds. RRC is also the manifold used on the civic type R (jdm). the brand is OEM, made by honda. and yeah its essential bolt on, but you would need the supporting mods i have or am getting plus a tune to make it beneficial.

@burnt182- Dude your car sounds like a beast :eek:hsnap:

i know you said your cars Hp/Tq is underrated, what do you think it should be at?
easily 230whp+ ?
Well, for one, my engine was incredibly hot from 2 hours of bumper to bumper traffic, and then I went straight onto the dyno with no cool down time (in hot temps to begin with). That alone robbed some hp. Plus the dyno reads a little low. All that said, I should be at least 225-230whp on a normal dyno. That said, numbers aside, the car feels amazing. I couldn't be happier.

Don't get hooked on reaching a particular number. Instead, focus on free flowing mods and the feel that you get after!

yeah, thats what i want.. ill look into your setup more.
thank you sir  do you think the S2 IM and TB will net more power the because of the larger bore?
Only if you are going for an aggressive all motor build. I have heard too many bad things about the S2 IM/TB; lots of members switched to the RRC/J35. Anyway, if you are daily driving the car, I would recommend a more mild set of cams, paired with the RRC/J35.

Id stay away from the skunk2 Im and tb i hear nothing but epic failness. you should get a Rrc im ported to 70mm and a 2011 acura tl shawd tb. P2r makes a spacer/adapter sold on corsportusa that let's us use these tb's.

As for cams id go with svm 211's :)
With supertech valve train

how is the j35 different from the 2011 acura tl shawd tb
It's smaller and about 1/4 of the cost.. The amount of power that you would gain for the extra cost is not worth it. For the extra hundred, you could think of better ways to pick up those extra few ponies.

That said, if you are one of those guys that wants the biggest and best, just to know you have done all that you can, then go for it! It's not that huge of a difference to pay.
