I want to go turbo on my stock 8th gen si, I am a broke high school kid so I don't have the money to blow an engine. so I have been doing my research so I don't run the risk of anything happening and do everything right the first time, but I have been puzzled on one thing that has been stopping me from buying these parts, and it's oil cooling. I see a lot of concerns for cooling in general when going turbo on 8th gens, but I can find anything on oil cooling and I haven't even seen kits specifically for the fg2/fa5 so it makes me think it's not a common problem. but I don't have the money to find out if it's a problem and I personally want to go turbo just cause its cool. I'm not trying to make crazy power, just shooting for the 350-500 range for some fun daily driving. I know you shouldn't daily a turbo build but tbh I don't care, so that's why I'm wondering if an oil cooler is something I should do right away for reliability reasons or if it's fine because the k20z3 has an "oil cooler". i put it in quotes because I don't know if it's a true oil cooler or if it even has one so I need help pls

thank you for all of the feedback but I blew the motor without the turbo so those plans have to get pushed off for now. so my plan was to do the Frankenstein build with a jdm k24a that i found but since this is a much bigger challenge then undoing some bolts and screwing them back on with the new part i want to just go with a remanufactured z3 and only have to swap over the intake, headers, and trans and jus not deal with timing and a bunch of other nuances that come with the frank build. im really only going with the remanufactured engine because it just gives me reassurance that as long as I provide a proper break-in period I'm going to have no problems in the future with my turbo plans. any advice would be great and i guarantee i will be back on this site making stupid decisions and asking for help in no time.
