Hi,

Just a quick dumb question.

I'm at 6,353 kilometers the maintenance minder says I'm at 50%, so by rights, I have got 35% to go.

So is this normal kilometers, before you need an oil change?

I guess it will need an oil change by 8,000 and the spanner will show up.

On Honda you change the oil every 8,000 and a GM is every 5,000 is that right?

This is only a dumb question, because there are 100s of posts on this topic. You may have to do your conversion of miles to km, but none the less, it has been posted on ad nauseum.

You could have at least answered his question and THEN pointed him in the right direction.

To OP:
Yes, assuming you baby your car and drive like it, it is normal. Change oil when it hits 15%, which shouldn't take that long. Mine hit 15% when it had your millage, but presumably we drive in different environments and our driving habits are different.
