Covered up the TPMS light on my cluster. One of the sensors must have a low battery because the TPMS light comes on when the car has been sitting out in the cold. (Not the low pressure light)

I have no interest in spending a couple hundred bucks on new sensors. After applying the electrical tape you can't see the light at all.

Seen this a few times so I'll touch on it. I did trunk, front floors, under the rear seat, rear quarter panels, and all 4 doors with sound deadening (kilmat 80 and 50 then closed cell foam over it) and it really only added about 15 lbs but made a huge difference in sound and audio quality. Seriously. It shouldn't take a ton of material if you do it right

Installed brand new Detroit Axle rear shocks yesterday and the ride was finally restored back to normal. No more sloppy handling on rough roads and would highly recommend their shocks.

I paired the shocks with Energy Suspension strut tower bushings (16.8112) and the rear end is STIFF. Not sure if I like it or not as i've only been driving the car with new shocks for 2 days but it is a little more bumpier than usual. I could always got back to factory OEM rubber if I wanted.

My old rear struts were Monroe and they were blown in the span of 3 years. Never again will I buy Monroe products for my cars 👍🏼

On my 05 4Runner, the TPMS light is lit b/c the spare tire has a slow leak. I stupidly spent a ton of money getting a new sensors (all 5) for it and now I'm stuck with them for the next (10?) several years. So yeah, when those go, I'll be doing the "TPMS mod" (involves splicing into a couple of wires, etc) which basically turns the system off.

and still going....................

Still wanting to get a valve adjustment.......... urghh.......... but engine still running smooth, it is a bit course at about 3,000 rpm (annoying b/c it wasn't like that). Pretty much given up on my Honda dealer b/c they apparently don't want to do it...............

Haven't been active here because I have been busy. My 2006 EX has recently received:
  • SPC Adjustable Rear Control Arms
  • 14-15 Civic Si OEM 20mm Rear Sway Bar w/ Progress reinforcement brackets
  • TruHart TH-H505 Lowering Springs Shock Kit
  • Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs
  • Front Wheel Bearings Replaced (NSK)
  • Mevotech Supreme Outer Tie Rods
  • Energy Suspension Steering Rack Bushing (just the big one that wraps around the rack with 2 bolts
  • 50% front side and 20% rear tint
  • Professional paint correction
I feel very dumb for dumping a lot of money on my AT 170k EX Sedan but at least it will be a fun car for the next 5 years!

Will post an updated photo about the Pro-kit drop on my car since its been years since a non-Si with Eibach springs has been posted here.

Wow, sounds cool. While I have 0 intention of modding my engine, sounds as though you are doing it the correct way. Admirable!

What did i do for my R18 today? Got a oil filter/air/cabin/3 quarts of DW (whatever) tranny fluid and a gallon of radiator fluid. Got some 5W20 Mobile1 from Walmart a few days ago, but my maintenance reminder is at 50% now, but the weather is so nice this weekend I just might do it all while I have some time. I plan on hand washing my car for the first time in almost 3 years. All that time I've been "car washing it". About a year ago I moved to a place where I have a garage and a garden hose (didn't have either before). Anyway, I keep analyzing on installing sound deadening ( not Dynamat, too expensive). Urghh. Car has 335,550 miles on the clock, runs like a clock and looks pretty good (except for a couple of dimples here and there).................... question is, "is it worth it?"..............

Got this today. It's a coupe (i have a sedan) overhead console with sunroof controls and apparently a mic. I don't have Bluetooth, but my NAVI does have a mic for voice control (which I never use). Anyway, the coupe's overhead console comes with an ambient LED. I don't expect a plug and play, I have schematics somewhere and will figure out how to make this work in my sedan. Shouldn't be difficult.

Ok so still working on Shortblock build it’s all apart ready to get cleaned. Got the axles and new cosmis rims

Sooo today I ordered the Full Mfactory line up

Helical Limited Slip (race pack 1)
Close ratio gears 3rd,4th,5th
Final drive ratio 4.9

This will be a fully built transmission. You never see those for the R18 so let’s get it.

so this happened after my last post. While in a downpour, a large tree branch fell about 10 ft in front of my car. I had no time to react and had to run it over. After a loud bang, the car continued to drive fine and I noticed the A/C stop working (got very humid). After a couple of miles (mostly down hill) I arrived at my destination and took the following picture:

Still raining, I smelled antifreeze (ironically after I did a drain/fill the previous week) and knew the car wasn't drivable. The temp gauge did show "one bar" more so I know the engine was fine.

Doesn't look bad at all, but the damage was done. One of my Morimoto LED foglights was missing, lower, middle grill was damage, radiator ripped open and possible damage to the evaporator.

radiator damage:

Lower fan was pushed in, but never touched the engine / exhaust /

After taking the front bumper off, I was able to see most of the damage. Structure of the car wasn't damaged, seemed to concentrated on the radiator itself.

I never bothered contacting the insurance b/c I know they will total the car. Besides, I don't believe it will cost much to repair this.

what I need:
1) one Denso Radiator
2) 2 (upper and lower) hoses
3) 2 (right and left) radiator top supports (mounts)
4) one A/C evaporator and probably other lines that are damaged that I'm not seeing.
5) one middle/lower grill
6) one fog light kit from ebay so I can have the bumper mount assembly. ($35, LOL)
7) one new set of Morimoto LED fog lights (urrghh)

I'll post updates.

Got all the parts for build this transmission. I’ll drop them off at the shop this weekend so we can get my transmission built

Fully built Mfactory transmission with all the fixings coming soon

As far as the guy that ran over a branch umm gives you a excuse to upgrade to better parts. Aka Megan radiator and box hoses etc just saying.

Sounds tempting, but I'll stick to "stock parts", they've taken me this far so....

That stinks. Looks like the bumper cover is ok which is a big plus.

On the plus side with the miles on your car a new radiator and ac condenser will be a nice refresh.
bumper is fine, just need the lower grill which is damaged and the fog light assembly (part of the grill) is completely wrecked. Honda wants something like $350 for EACH assembly. All I need is the grill-like part that the fog light is attached to. Ebay baby!!

AC condensor would be nice refresh, I just hope I don't need other parts. I'm fine with replacing some hoses/lines.

Well if it’s cheaper to get better then stock parts you Should just saying. That’s some nice carnage there. You never know window shopping is free
