Since Progress Springs were installed, the susp. has "popped" when going over select bumps/dips and sometimes when turning too.

Finally attempted to solve this. I realized an easy/cheap way to do so and it worked. I was so suprised it was just "spring slap" causing the noises.

Most likely will cure the majority of "popping" noises... cured mine atleast.

Materials needed:
- 10' - 5/8" ID, 1/16th" wall latex
- zip ties

Splice tubing and wrap around springs. Secure with zip ties

My susp. makes no noises now. 30 min. per side cured it.

DIY: Silencers - 5/8" ID, 1/16th" wall latex

same issue

so it doesnt happen all the time, mainly when wet out or just a lot of wheel spin and wheel hop. Having the same issue with my 06 Si coupe, mainly from a hard shift from 1st to 2nd. It almost sounds like the wheel is coming up and smacking the fender, its LOUD! Never did it until i tore everything apart to get the transmission out and replace the clutch. from reading, im guessing the lower engine mount could not be tight enough and is causing unessasary movement. Ill check it out, thanks for the help and other tips would be greatly appreciated!

I have full D2 coilovers. Nothing but loving them with normal driving. When I reverse (usually with cutting the wheel) there will be a single very distinct CLUNK noise. It will not make the sound again until I've drivin forward for a bit..

I BELIEVE it is the front right coilover region making the noise, anyone with an idea? Im about to strap my gopro in there to try to find out

Mugen Si

So I have a Mugen Si w/only 65k on it. But I am having all kinds of weird issues. The latest and greatest being some insane clunking in the front driver side suspension. We have already re-torqued the steering components as I had read that might have been the cause, to no avail. It generally happens at low speed during take off or on bumps especially during a turn. I've searched as much as I can, but admittedly this is my first Honda so I'm still learning the ropes and having the Mugens' suspension I can find nearly no info.
Its getting pretty frustrating and sadly, I live in the country and the local dealer is pretty moronic... ok, extremely stupid may be the better way to put it.

Any help would be seriously appreciated and apologies if I post this in the wrong place. Its my first post here..

Well. Sadly. The issue doesn't matter with the Mugen anymore. It was stolen and totaled July 4th. Fn people.... :/ I was going to try the bump stops on top of the springs next. As I had heard those were inferior. Good lock on yours tho!

I've got a similar sound going on with my 07 Si. It happens when I push in the clutch and when I release the clutch. Only through the first three gears though. Has anybody else experienced this? I was thinking it might be a loose torque arm or maybe a bad suspension bushing. I've already checked all of the motor mounts and the clutch linkage.
