Has anyone done this yet, with a flashpro map on their ECU?

After researching and spectating.
Make sure you have your Catalytic converter on your car (stock header), and stock intake (just to be safe). Also if you have a tune on your car, don't fret.

*MOST IMPORTANT* YOU ARE ALLOWED ONLY 1 MONITOR TO NOT BE READY, EVAP monitor is usually the one that is not ready.

other than that, happy and safe driving :wavey:

there's gotta be someone... come on guys & gals, this could mean either we HAVE TO BE stock or FAIL. If anyone from hondata wanted to chime in too, that'd be awesome.
The question being: will a tune, map or afm, trigger the smog to fail even though monitors and MIL are all good?

no sniffer. It's a new style smog here in Cali that is based purely on diagnostics through OBDII. So ANYTHING tuned in your ecu it will read.

-Basically what determines it to pass between: stock ecu, (carb legal) hondata flash for ct-e supercharger, (carb legal) greddy piggy back for the turbo, and a flashpro tune (not carb legal).

also for the number of guys running k24, where running a stock ecu having to set the monitors would be nearly impossible without a big BOOM

So now they're checking emissions through your ecu? God damn, you guys all need to move. The level of govt intrusion in California never ceases to amaze me.

I went to smog last month and they still used the old system. If you can find a place that hasn't got the new setup yet they still do it the old way.

I'll be good for another year. It'd just be nice for other people to have the info, being a community site and all :bighug:

"Due to begin mid 2014; Model year 2000 and newer vehicles will no longer require the tailpipe portion of the smog inspection.

Late model vehicles will be administered the new On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) Inspection System (OIS) instead of having their exhaust emission analyzed while being driven on a dynamometer. The existing visual and functional test portions of the smog inspection will still apply."

My car ran with 650CC injectors comptech stage 2 supercharger k24 block ported and polished intake and exhaust manifolds rsx type s cams with a "return to stock" tune and passed not only the OBD check it also passed the sniffer test as well. I must also note that I did replace the race header for the stock one with cat and stock intake as well.
