In all the pictures I've seen they have a deep lip. So I was kinda like WTF. Must be the width. :( 8.5 not good enough!? Lip probably starts at 9".
I thought the lip depended on the offset and disk type you choose. There are 3 different types of disks, just like the work meisters. Depending on which one you get, you'll have a different look.

I'm guessing you mean 18x8.5 +40? If so your only talking about a 4mm difference on the outside. Are you going to be running 235's to put more rubber down than the current set?

Nice wheels but what I just don't really get is why you would buy J5's wheels and then turn around and get these right after?!? (I don't mean any offense by this and I'm not trying to be rude, just don't really get it that's all)
He originally wanted the 7 spoke I beleive but couldn't find any... used any way.
Theres actually some 350Z guys usually selling them (7 spoke) but I don't think a 12+ offset on a 9.5 or maybe 10 width rim would work for us.

Why don't you try the Nitto INVOs?
That's what I'm getting next. They are a cross between the NEO-GENs and the NT555s, but WAAAAYYY BETTER!

Gonna have the INVOs on my daily driver wheels and the NT555s on the whatever track wheels I get.

Wow, I haven't even heard of Star Specs... guess I'll start doing some research on them. But I was referring him to INVOs because they are a VERY good all around tire.
They're as grippy in dry as the NT555s and better than the Neo-Gens in Wet (which is really good), and they're super quiet.
You guys should see the tread on them... looks freaky lol.

Robert knows about that stuff, I would listen to him
I don't deny that... but it seems like they are more leaning towards a track oriented tire. They were comparing the Star Specs to some R comps.
I was just trying to give my opinion on a good all around tire.

:bighug:

I wish others felt the same as we did. (noh0m0) lol. but considering how I'm losing horribly in ROTM... lol. ah well. I like to complain.
You got some stiff competition...

BBS Flushness
Boosted/Slammed On Mag Blues

^It's rough out there lol

Not to mention, some of those guys took better pics than you did... and pictures will never really show the true hotness of your wheels, you have to see them for yourself.

I love the way your car looks with the RGs man, especailly now that your basically slammed :).
The back looks good. The fronts are the only ones that looks really sunk in.

I'm not really feelin' the chrome ones anymore. I never really liked chrome. I <3 polished though. I only miss the size/offset of the grams... and the lip. :p
 I do have 2 sets of polished wheels... hm... Holla! at your boy Smokey lol.
I'm dying to put the Kai's on for the first time, but need tires and spacers. Lucky for me the Grams and Kais are both the same offset. So, whatever spacers I choose for the front will make both of them look flush. Just need to decide whether I want to stretch a 215 on my Kais (8.5w) or run a meaty look w/235s.

I don't think it will stretch enough to give it the look I want. The 225s on the Grams now, grip real nice with the stg 2 :).

Yeah I got it. Looks great up there. Quality is iffy but it's not too bad for $125. I'd never pay $250 for it though.
Soem double sided tape and your good (got the same one)... you really can't justify spending $125 more on something with a bit better fitment...
