license plate relocator kit from pep boys and some L brackets n nuts n bolt, it was easy for me to this like this coz i had easy access to all my tools and ect

nah, as long as it's somewhere on the front bumper, you're good.

not really acceptable inside the car on the dash, i don't know how i've been going away with it all this time :shrug:

Has to be mounted to the front bumper. Some cops won't sign off a fix-it-ticket for A missing plate if you zip tie it. Very odd considering the law doesn't state how you need to secure it to the bumper. It just says it needs to be on the bumper.

According to California Vehicle Code (CVC) 5200 (a), you just need to have front license plate secured and must be visible. A license plate relocator is totally fine.
