Searched and came up with nothing like this.

For those who are like me in the sense they always have an urge to do something to their car without spending a TON of money let's start a little "mods" list. Reference other posts if you feel like it. I'll start:

1. Horn Replacement. About $15 if you don't get crazy with it and it'll definately make you feel better about your safety. Ease to install- 4/10. http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3420&highlight=horn

2. Headlight Replacement. $20-40 for replacement of the stock 9006 low-beams. Ease to install- 4/10 overall (the passenger side is a PITA! http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10184&highlight=headlight

3. LED Interior Lighting. $5-xxx depending on what lights you replace. Change out your Dome, map, trunk, license plate, even tail lights. Ease to install- 2/10. http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6357&highlight=headlight

Feel free to add to this list.

will that hurt ur car in any ways???
I take off the intake tube durning cool to cold temps to help keep the mpg up. Thats called a warm air intake. But during the summer / warm temps intake air can get to hot. With intake air temps at 140+ degrees. I dont think it will hurt the engine short term. But it does rob hp and torque when the intake air is to warm. Cool sound aside. As a summer mod its worthless.

so its a safe mod to do in winter? Work for non-si's?

I have had Silverstar (slightly whiter, still yellowish), Xenon (yellowish), Piaa (white) Nokya (White, little blueish)

Maybe better to spend $20 on Nokya than $80 on piaa, they look quite similar.

I had problem with 9006 Nokya, they tend to overheat and melt the plastic connectors, so if anyone is planning to go this way, i would not recommend in changing them. :)
Is this any Nokya 9006? I was planning on replacing my high beams, and but using them for DRL now (i have my fuse pulled. i might put it back in if i can find a bulb that'll light pure white when in DRL and high beam)

Has anyone tried the LED DRL's over at superbrightleds.com?

hi/DRL- 9005

lo- 9006

dont bother replacing 9005 for DRL changes, theyll still be yellow. I think alot of people use SilverStars 40 bucks. Im gonna try PIAA's. 80 bucks.

could also consider doing something for your grille to protect the condenser. Hardware cloth or mesh works well.
