OK my driver side knuckle broke. I getting a new one but the question i have is whats the difference between the regular civic knuckle and the si knuckle would the civic knuckle fit or what. They do have differant part numbers but look the same i dont get it.

Are the parts different if so what ways.
They knuckle is the part that bolts to the strut and all.

Yes they are diffrent part#'s, the Si has a diffrent postion for the caliper mounting bracket and the type of casting process used. SI knuckles are stronger to handle the potential extra handling forces applied to them.

4DR DX/LX/EX = 51211-SNA-010
4DR SI = 51211-SNG-010


Granted those are both the right side only.

L and R ones would be required if doing a SI brake upgrade on a DX/LX/EX

I want to upgrade my ex brake to the Si brakes. anybody did this modification already? It is realy necessary to upgrade the knuckles?
