So I found a set of cams for a pretty good deal, I've been out of the Honda game for a very long time but these are the pictures he sent me. And the only thing that is on them is the RBB print. Can someone help me and tell me if these are 06 TSX cams? And while I'm at it, it seems that these can just be dropped in without valvetrain upgrade?

From the bottom picture it looks to be pitted. I personally wouldn't put those cams in my car. And if you're looking to do valvetrain don't waste your time with TSX cams. Just got buy some off the shelf DC 2.2's and call it a day.

Base on Evan's Tuning experience (
), the weakest point of the K Series is the TCT. Upgrading to high lift aftermarket cams will potentially kill the TCT sooner. Picking out TSX cams is a fine idea to retain reliability.

I have set of JUN Type 0 DIC that I would like to use for a build. The lifts are not as high as Drag Cartel, but the duration is much longer > our stock Si cams.

09+ Si VTEC Lobe (IN): 12.1 mm @ 256
09+ Si VTEC Lobe (EX): 10.8 mm @ 246

DC (DIC) VTEC Lobe (IN): 12.7 mm @ 297
DC (DIC) VTEC Lobe (EX): 12.0 mm @ 288

DC (2.2) VTEC Lobe (IN): 13.5 mm @ 250
DC (2.2) VTEC Lobe (EX): 12.2 mm @ 246

JUN (DIC) VTEC Lobe (IN): 12.2 mm @ 304
JUN (DIC) VTEC Lobe (EX): 11.8 mm @ 304

My speculation on TCT failure is due to of high lifts, but not sure on cam durations as much of a factor when compared to lifts

I cant see the photo's but if you direct message me I can help you out. I just need a shot of the two cams next to each other laying flat on a table. You will need good lighting also.

EDIT: photos work, get another shot from the overhead angle but on the top half. The smaller end away from the cam gear. Tough to tell from that photo but it looks like 06+ TSX cams.
