K20 to K24 swap

I own a 2007 civic sedan si and want to just buy an entire K24a2 motor and drop it in place of K20. What will I need to do the swap. I am not really wanting to build the motor and combine the 2 just want the put the whole K24 motor in. Thanks

Flashpro, CRV side engine mount, and a header that will clear the firewall. Not really too much else.

use all the sensors off the K20 block, on the K24, and you will also be reusing, your stock K20z3 oil pan, and I would recommend running the RBC intake manifold off your stock motor as well.

I am sure I am forgetting something but that swap is very easy if you have the few minor supporting mods.

i agree wit k24ftw, im running k20/k24 etc on my 07 si and to me.. just bringing the rpm to 8 grand feels like nothing. but.. at 9k feels alot better. so yea if u plain on just dropping in a stock tsx engine in ur car and have to redline at 7k i believe. let me tell u almost feel like u didnt even made a different wit the swap.

I agree. The A2 from the TSX is a high dollar, big ticket item. U can build an
A1 or A4 short block for a little bit more than a stock A2. Use ur Z3 head and have a much stronger motor, and the rpm capability of ur K20.

I also want do this swap but in 2007 csx (K20Z2), give me some feedback!!

*all the sensors of K20 can be used on K24, even those of the head??
*CRV side engine mount is not only for swap in 2 doors??
*what header clear the fire wall, civic or tsx, K20 stock exhaust manifold doesn't work??
*A/C compresor, starter, flywheel, clutch... of K20 can be used on K24?

Old thread resurrection! I'm wanting to do the same thing. Swap a complete k24a2 into my Si. But my reason is to sell the car and keep my 290hp k20/k24 for a future project.

Is using the K20z3 oil pan necessary if I am doing NO mods to the k24a2? Is there any overwhelming reason to get an oil cooler for it?

K20A Swap in an 8th gen civic

So i recently hydro locked my civic si and i believe that i bent a rod and a few valves. I still have to tear down the motor to see the damages. But in the mean time i am expecting the worse and am looking into replacing the motor and was wondering if the older k20a out of a 02-05 Rsx will be compatible with my wiring harness and mount without major fabrication. Any incite? Thanks everyone!

I have a Honda Civic 2007 SI and I took the k 20 out and put the k 24 Does the K 24 just dropped right in or is there any other parts I will need to make it worth can somebody please help me thank you

I'm starting a 8th Gen Si with JDM k24A.all you need is Flashpro, crank sensor and k20z3 Oil pan and passenger side post mount from 04 to 08 CRV.some uses K20z3 crank pulley so they don't spend the money on a Sepertine belt for a K24A but just leave the k24A pulley and get new belt.most engine already have the belt if you buy from JDM Depot.
