2006 and 2007 Honda Civic Si Gain 7.01 HP with K&N Air Intake System

Is this the new version of their intake for the 06+ Si? Seems to be a different part number.

Yes this is the new K&N. They improved design and it should work better to keep the hot air away from the filter. I am thinking about getting this. I just need to make sure it fits in 08. But I don't see why it wouldn't.

its interesting how the shield hooks into the factory piping to draw air from the lower bumper, the older one didnt do that

I was going to get the K&N Typhoon SRI, but it was backordered and I finally cancelled my order. Then I saw X's intake which looked better. I do like the fact that the K&N has a heat shield with a provision to hook up to the factory cold air intake.

I know Advanced auto parts sells K&N Products, but I can not find any intakes for our car on their site. And I know they had them on there, I have seen intakes for our car on that site before.
