Hello all,

I am about to install my INJEN CAI, and i was looking at the install manual on INJEN's website and it says the following in in figure 31:

"When the intake has been adjusted with the transmission
in 5th gear, continue to tighten all clamps and reinstall
the battery back to its original position."

WTF does that mean anyway? I have never heard of having to do that, nor have i done that when installing a CAI on my other vehicles. do i just keep the tranny in 5th gear while installing? but that wont do **** cause the car is shut off during installation.

Any advice would be nice, thanks a lot fellas!

here is the link to the install guide for reference.

it means have the car in 5th. thats due to a lot of ppl having the counter weight hiting the pipe. so with it in 5th you will be able to adjust the intake to where u need it and u wont have to worry about hiting the pipe and not being able to get into 5th gear. i had this problem with my si when i had a supercharger.
