its priced good i think. You have to put in consideration it incorporates the shifter bushings that hybrid has which is 69.00 in itself. Then you have the shift lever springs which mtec sells for i thiink somehwere around 30bucks. Then to top it off these are thicker and replace the cheap plastic parts of stock. I think stock replacements are somewhere north of 110.00 iirc? Im sure its a quality item as anything i have bought from hybrid has been.

Considering I have the twm stage 2 shifter, twm base bushings, HR cable bushings, and HR em1 cmc, this completes the puzzle. Imma pick up some soon. Remember ppl, HR is quality. Safe bet
this would replace the cable bushings as they wont be usable with these since they are built into these lines. :wavey:

Replacement cables are around $115 shipped and these are double that price so they are def over priced but like mentioned are of higher quality. I need new cables myself but i think i will stick with oem since i have no complaints about the feel of them.

I would love to feel the difference these make but i cant see it being much since the oem cables already offer a great feel.

Stiffer and more direct is all i can think of but you can already achieve that with a short shifter or bushings.

These are racing cables, If you are going to be racing your car a lot, then these would probably be a good replacement over OEM, but if you are just daily driving, or the occasional racer, then I would say stick with OEM.

Hey guys. Just wanted to chime in here. These cables are certainly not going to be for everyone. However, they are just as at home in a street car as a race car. While generally improving shift feel and shifting performance was our main goal, we knew providing these would benefit people who are concerned about running into transmission issues or who have constantly dealt with broken/worn cables and for those who run into synchro problems due to the compliance in the OEM cables. The price is just a reflection of the cost of manufacturing. All of the cores and hardware used in these cables are made in the USA to ensure premium quality.

The main advantage of these cables is reduced compliance in the shift linkage and increased strength of all related components. Between our solid aluminum rod ends that replaced all rubber and plastic components on the OEM cables, the solid aluminum bushings that replaced the rubber isolated and plastic bushings on OEM cables, and our cable cores which are thicker than OEM, we have reduced almost all of the spongy feeling that is often attributed to the OEM 8th gen cables.

Make no mistake, these are designed to provide a significant improvement in feel above and beyond what our cable bushings are capable of. Our testers reported back that they had a significant improvement in response time between the shifter and transmission as well as more reliable shifting at high rpm's where the OEM setup had sometimes caused gear engagement issues.

We also wanted to make sure that the adjustable short shifter we're releasing in the spring wouldn't be forever hindered by compliance in the OEM cables.
