Hi I was interested to see if anyone has experience with Axel back vs Catback vs stock exhuast systems for a 8th gen Civic SI. I haven’t really been able to find any YouTube videos or threads on this. Basically I don’t really care about getting an extra 5-10hp from a cat back I really more want like 20% louder exhaust noise just for fun essentially. I already have a aftermarket intake which I don’t believe the car is really tuned on so I don’t want to make the air/fuel ratio even more wacky by adding a cat back so I’m curious if any one uses a axel back to make the car louder? I hope it’s like atleast 20% louder depending on which brand of axel back Ofc. But yea I’d much rather go with a Axel back but I am unsure if is even worth it or much louder at all then stock? i have an apexi axel back, its looks stock but a lot louder than stock. sounds sporty, it better be for the price haha any sport exhaust should be louder, just dont get the race can exhausts, they are too loud and attracts cops.
