~~~crap wrong quote.....~~~
You are one of those consumers I love to hate. Although I do not know you personally but what you said is wrong in soooo many ways. :popcorn:
I guess you want Hondata to release crappy tuning capabilities? Some companies release things late/no estimate time so they can either work out kinks or make it as perfect as they can. If not they can trash the project, and have no worries because they never promised anything....
Yet here we are, Hondata FINALLY releases a full tuning program and people are bitching already...seriously chill out! Be happy Hondata is releasing this, not like they needed to. I think K-pro was a HUGE pocket money already.
Stop complaining and give Hondata a HUGE :grouphug:
I wonder if this works on the R18 ecu? it is an ecu, the only thing we don't have is vtec, but am sure if something like this work for the R18 mu turbo will be making more power.
chances are that it will work on any obdII honda if it'll work on the 8th civic...
Will we be able to save multiple maps from our car on the flashpro??? say, we have a normal low boost map, high boost map, high altitude map and like a valet map??
Also I noticed that it isn't locked to our cars, does that mean I can use it to tune my boosted car but then we can use it on my buddies n/a car and tune cams and stuff? like share a flashpro?
Nice, i hope it does.. it will be nice to try this thing on the r18 turbo and see what kind of gains i can get..
This is just crazy I cant wait!!! HONDATA i know that you are leting this out next month but is there going to be any kind of preorder because I got your $795 :woot::woot::thumb::laughing::laughing::thumb::thumb::thumb::grouphug:
no, but when reflashproII comes out they'll give you a 50$ discount if you send your old unit in...lol, I'm sorry, I know that was a cheap shot but I couldn't help myself...
LMFAO:rotfl::rotfl:
Just checking this thread againg making sure I wasn't just wasted and imagining things LOL
just to clear up a question i have.......if we dont have a reflash, do we have to send in our ecu to have this work for us?
I hope boost by gear is still available + anti-lag capability.
nope no need to send in your ECU this time around if you dont have the reflash
they said it has launch control, idk about BBG though
my hopes in the tuning capabilities would be that i can squeeze a more efficient tune out of this. maybe say one with better mpg. seeing as how it is an on-the-fly sort of deal(just my words) it would be nice to have a fuel efficient tune, load it for a road trip or whatever, then when you get there you can reload your more aggressive tune. and it will also be great to be able to tune for OUR specific applications. cheers to hondata, and so what if they did or didn't release this right around cobb's announcement.
options are good and the more people doing R&D, the better results we will see. i mean look at all the potential the B-series made. that could not have been done without many companies doing their OWN thing. and for anyone saying one company is trying to copy the other..... that is bologna, honda made it that the car is tunable via an access port so why would you not tune via that route. it's like why go around your butt to get to your elbow.... go with what works! thank you to hondata and gl to cobb. i am sure both will offer good useful products which we will all benefit from!
Well a good powerful tune is an efficient tune...I have lots of friends with evos and the ones that are built, have 500+whp and are running on a standalone get as good as my si on the highway. The ones less modded and just have chipped ecu's get mid 20's.
man, this figures. I held off for two years to buy into any sort of management... then just last month, i hack up my ECU harness and dump $400 into an F/IC, and not to mention the countless hours learning the ins and outs of the thing...
i'm going to sell my car, buy a prius and forget this hobby ever existed. *grr*
but if you did that you'll have to change your user name from GoHybrid to WentHybrid lol
i am lucky to get over 23mpg now with the SC(babying it) but even without the charger i was around 26mpg..... i just miss my tuned k24a2 getting about 30mpg! and making 216whp/170tq. i guess looking at the diff from NA to SC it is about on par for the addition of FI.... oh well i LOVE the boost
get the new insight instead and LMAO at 'wenthybrid'
*sigh* no going hybrid for me.
i'm just mad about having to get tits deep in the engine bay for another 8 hours to repair my ECU harness. Tyco environmental splices FTW!
Even if you can't tune this new flashpro thing in realtime, once you get it set, who cares?
