I'm just saying 600 bucks for a crappy off the shelf reflash tune is very very hefty. They were making a killing. I can get a Cobb AP pro tune for 200 bucks that's customized to what I have on the car. So the people that paid 600 bucks for a reflash, now have to shell out 800 more for this!! That's 1400 bucks for a tune! Who wants to pay that much? But people will because they think Hondata is the end all to honda tuning, fact is all they do is Honda and it took them this long to come up with this. Cobb has applications for nearly a dozen cars. Their R&D is far surpassing Hondata and their customer service and support is legendary.

Have you ever asked Hondata a question about their products? What happens?

actually no i havent and i havent ever bought a product from hondata....all i know is that alot of ppl on here have been waiting for this to come available. Now that is has finally come out.....we get peeps who down on it. It seems like Hondata wanted to make sure that they produce a product that is 100 percent g. to work with our cars. Sometimes patience is the key to life.....(of a engine)..LOL.

dont know if its been answered yet but id like to know if there is any deal for us that purchased the stage 2 reflash for the cte sc.
also does this have the ability to save your current ecu configuration incase you need to flash back for any reason
I can answer those.

Yes. It was stated in the hondata site. Discount, $150 off. overnight shipping is free.

As for the second one, its a software you have to upload to your laptop, so im sure you can save alot of maps on your laptop, but I think the question you need to ask is if once you send the ECU to hondata, will they erase your Reflash, if so, I think you need to keep your reflash for in case you need a back up tune.

Its not out yet, and you people are going crazy.

:giggle:

Question, will our redline exceed 9krpms now if tuned for it to?
the k20a/a2/z1/z3 generally won't make power past 8600 rpms on a stock longblock whether it be all motor or forced induction.

i have cams in my setup along with aftermarket valvetrain and i'm revving to 8850 but with cams i'm sure i'm making power possbily up to 9k. but i leave it to 8850 because past that the stock rods will take a **** lol.

it's brian with the yellow ep btw

Oh for cryin out loud, people saying "Hondata released this because Cobb is working on AP" are ridiculous.

Hondata has been saying they were working on a solution, FOR YEARS. What monetary incentive would they have to NOT release it? You realize being a monopoly means not having a competitor is better? There's no financial incentive to hold back on release.

I swear some posts here are so lacking in discernment it makes my head hurt.
