one thing i love is that it lets you choose between using the MAF or going back to the good old MAP based Speed density set ups......easy choice for me
yes, and it will eliminate the MAF VANE problem as this will allow you to fun a speed density set up and not need the MAFso basically if i was to buy this....get my car tuned....u can then at any time reset the ecu back to stock.....or even fine tune it more with added mods and so forth?
Also will this be able help alot of ppl on here with the bogging problems with intakes?
release date on thier site is in june.....less than a month awayum, seeing as how Cobb doesn't give you the ability to make your own reflash and hondata does you'd have to be blind or just lazy to go with the Cobb system, which probably will still be in the beta phase when the Hondata unit is released...
alot lolWhats the difference between this and eManage Ultimate?
emanage is a piggy back and pretty much fights with the stock ECU over control of the car, this will flash your stock ECU with a custom tune, no extra wires in the engine bay, and access to more feature like cam angles and things like thatWhat sucks about the eManage and why doesn't this suck?
one main reason it is cheaper is that with KPro they had to modify your stock ECU to accept the changes, with this nothing is done to your stock ECU, hell you never even have to remove itLet's see what the first couple of cars running this go, then I'll decide to make the jump.
Seems like this is what we've been waiting for, but cheaper than what K-Pro costs? I'm guessing it will not be as good as K-Pro (maybe I'm wrong) but as long as this provides and help us have a more reasonable tune than what we can get from the E-Manage, I will be very happy!
yes they said it does lose some features, but with the Si the ECU controls so much of the car, with the dash and other things that this was simply the best wayYeah, but why didn't they do that with the RSX? There has to be a reason behind it, maybe less features?
Oh well, we will see what happens when this is realeased!
from the screen shots it looks similar to KManager, so any shop that can do that should be able to tune this, also Hondata is releasing a series of training videos next weekThis is The question tho how long do you think it will take a shop to learn and get the proper tuning solution down with this tool? would it be safe to let them play around with it or no? should i wait?
hondatas dynos were done on Church's dynapack, which reads higher than your average dynapack, and even the average dynapack reads higher than a dyno jet lolthe 3.15" hits 315...
i have 800 though lolI doubt they will be like Comptech superchargers that are backedup in orders.
When its released, I dont think they will sellout fast.
Not all of you have 800bucks.
not to mention Full Race and Peak Boost who said they wont release anything for our cars until hondata is out....well its out guys...oh ohhhhhh! redshift twinscrew and kraft works will change everything now! the fight for business will get supercompetitive in a few months
nope no need to send in your ECU this time around if you dont have the reflashjust to clear up a question i have.......if we dont have a reflash, do we have to send in our ecu to have this work for us?
they said it has launch control, idk about BBG thoughI hope boost by gear is still available + anti-lag capability.
but if you did that you'll have to change your user name from GoHybrid to WentHybrid lolman, this figures. I held off for two years to buy into any sort of management... then just last month, i hack up my ECU harness and dump $400 into an F/IC, and not to mention the countless hours learning the ins and outs of the thing...
i'm going to sell my car, buy a prius and forget this hobby ever existed. *grr*
hell no man, its made for N/A as well, it will allow N/A guys to tune for cams and your mods.so how is this gonna effect stock si's? my next mod is intake and maybe exhaust but i cant get headers cause i will be effed in cali. is this flashpro even made for n/a setups? seems more aimed toward f/i
he said right in the post you quoted that it is a CT calibration which is pretty much the reflash, so yes a tune wouldnt be needed right awaySo wait am i getting this correctly? If i order the stage 2 full kit now i would get the reflash. But if i wait till june i can then get the full stage 2 kit with a flash pro which would come with a preloaded calibration so i dont have to get it tuned but have the option to in the future? Also if so would it be identical to the reflash?
We're not sure of the gains from tuning for either the reflash or base calibration, but 3-10 whp might be the closest guess - it will vary with every vehicle. Your best bet problem is to use the FlashPro with the CT calibration. This will essentially be the same as the reflash, but gives you more flexibility in the future and you don't need to send the ECU in.
once again you already have your answer.....But im more so wanting to know if its the same as the stage 2 reflash. I dont plan on getting it tuned right away, i would want to get it and maybe 6 months to a year down the road tune it so i dont want it to be like the pre loaded greedy maps or anything i want to make sure its the same actual flash as stage 2 would be.
i actuall began talks with a shop around my way for a custom kit a day or 2 before this was annouced....looks like tuning is gonna be easier for me nowYou should see what kind of power you can make with what you have first with the FlashPro. You'll be surprised the power you'll make with a real tuning device. I predicting at least 300whp for you with what you have. I'm just gonna upgrade to the Full-Race GReddy turbo and tune with FlashPro on my GReddy kit. I should make close to 400whp with just that. I can't wait!!
street tune is basically they drive you car on the street and make the changes instead of on the DynoI contacted a tuner in my area and he said it will be 550 bucks for a street tune using the hondata flashpro.......please explain to me what a street tune is!
So all together im looking at 1345 bucks for everything less shipping and a nitrous fill.
Lots of cash!!
they have already said on their thread that at release only the stock MAP will be usedHONDATA, are we going to be able to use the ONMNI 4 BAR MAP SENSOR with the flashpro??? thank you!
