I admittedly don't know much about tuning. Is this like the reflash where you should have basic bolt-ons before getting it?

no. because you can have it fully tuneed on the dyno it doesnt come with a preloaded map that wont work right without an intake.. its whatever you make of it with your dyno tunner. so i would advise you to finish your set up before tunning. otherwise your prob gonna wanna tune again.

Tons of questions

What does this mean for people with bolt ons?

For example:

Say a person has just i/h/e or just an intake or whatever....

What can you do with this?
What could expected gains be?
How dangerous is it for your car?
I'm guessing it kills a warranty pretty much dead?
Do you need a tuner to work on it, or can you tune yourself?

I've never (obviously) used something like this.

it's better for your car, you can tune atleast AFR with bolt ons and gain hp! you can probably do street tune, but please leave it to the pro's with a dyno!

hmmm i just thought of this. close by me is a shop that has a HUGE known honda tuner. what if i contacted them and got them to purchase this for their shop and just go to them to get a tune. hmmmm i dont see anything wrong with that.

i think they are making it lock to each car. just like the ones for mustangs..

i know on mustangs you can tune any car with any tunner HOWEVER. once you load the tune it will not tune any other car until you erase the origional car back to stock.

this would prevent one machine from tunning every car on the planet.

if i were hondata i would either lock it like that. or only sell it to tunners. so they would be the ones taking in money and paying hondata a cut.

Seriously, how many times does the warranty issue have to be addressed?

If something malfunctions as a result of an aftermarket part, then Honda will not warranty the replacement part nor the labor to install the part. You would have to pay for it. It does not get any simpler than that.

We've been skull ****** for so long in the mediocre mid to high 200whp area, it's going to be really really insane to some people by the gains they're going to see with such simple **** as a valvetrain oil pump and cams. this'll be ordered at weeks end: >>>*I N T R I N S I C * P E R F O R M A N C E * S O L U T I O N S, * I N C.*<<<

and some 650's + the 3.15 pully. 350whp? Sounds good enough to me.

edit: now whats going to be kraftwerks / full-races excuse for releasing applications for our car?? I'm so ******* excited to see what everyone has instore for this car. This is a literal rebirth of this platform. And the price is at least a thousand dollars cheaper than most expected.

Quick question for doug or whoever's camping the thread currently, will the learning curve of going from kPro to this be dramatic?
