with the announcement of cobb entering the ring hondata steps it up and takes the first punch. w00t.

full tunning ftw!

hondata could we expect decent gains over the ct stage 2 set up usuing the new flash pro to tune vs the reflash? i'm guessing it would make quite a difference having full cam angle control as well as many other things..

because cobb isnt relesing a full tunning product. there just working on a device the will give you premade flashes based on the info they get from there beta testers..

hondata in less then a month is going to release a fully tunable engine management system.
thats why. this is what everyone has been waiting for.. the market for 8th gens is going to expload and we can finnaly utilze the true potentials of the k20.

you must be happy, now ur able to do an actually tune with you supercharged K20Z3.:coffee::thumb:
yes but it may be awhile before i do. i'm thinking before i switch i might drop the pulley to a 3inch and then run methanol since we can tune for it now.
i'm not really sure. i may be happy with the stage 2 the way it is. we'll see.
i will probably get the flashpro sooner or later but i may not get it right away.
since tunning on top of it will prob be a few hundred dollars.

and like many have said.. us SC guys JUST spent money on another reflash. since we probably can't get the money back for that now i will probably just run the reflash for a while.

this is really great news for all the turbo guys though.. watch how many of them ditch there POS piggy back set ups for a much smoother running higher power producing set up :) can't wait to see what happens.

hondata... for those of us waiting on stage 2 CT reflashes that already payed for it but obviously havent had them flashed yet.. is there anyway to redirect that credit towards the new flashpro? i mean we have already payed you our 475.. could we simply use that towards the new device instead of having our ecu's flashed?

i'm willing to bet 90% of us stage 2 ct purchasers that bought the reflash only through josh at excelerate would rather wait another month and just direct our 475 towards the new tunning device.

seriously though about the credit thing hondata...

your offereing a 150 dollar credit for those of us that already have reflashes..

well.. i bought an NA reflash when i was NA.. i currently have the comptech stage 1 reflash on my car now. and i payed 475 for yet ANOTHER reflash for the ct stage 2 set up.
that i have not collected cuz it hasnt released yet.. is it at all possible to just redirect that 475 dollars off the 795. i'm not even asking for the 150 dollar credit.. i just want to redirect the 475 dollars i already spent and havent collected towards the new product. and then i will pay you the difference of course.

i think thats pretty fair. considering i have already payed for 3 reflashes essential since i bought my car lol.

I admittedly don't know much about tuning. Is this like the reflash where you should have basic bolt-ons before getting it?

no. because you can have it fully tuneed on the dyno it doesnt come with a preloaded map that wont work right without an intake.. its whatever you make of it with your dyno tunner. so i would advise you to finish your set up before tunning. otherwise your prob gonna wanna tune again.

i think they are making it lock to each car. just like the ones for mustangs..

i know on mustangs you can tune any car with any tunner HOWEVER. once you load the tune it will not tune any other car until you erase the origional car back to stock.

this would prevent one machine from tunning every car on the planet.

if i were hondata i would either lock it like that. or only sell it to tunners. so they would be the ones taking in money and paying hondata a cut.

in all honestly i'd say 75% or more of SI owners mod there car. and on the contrast i'd wager less then 25% of r18 owners mod it. the market is so low for r18's because there aren't very many people like you who are trying. not to say they aren't out there but the % is low ya know.
so in hondatas defense its not exactly cost effective. however if the flashpro can easily be modded or tweaked by them to control the r18 then by all means thats good for you guys.

No we do not. If so, we would have gone back in time and released the FlashPro in 2005.
any word on the stage 2 flashes disabling the reverse lockout? i was hoping if and when a fix for this comes out instead of having 3 days of downtime again since i'm only 30 min from you guys. could i just drive down there and have my car flashed with the update? it would save both of us shipping charges and me not having my daily driver.

or at least could i park at churchs shop and have you guys take the ecu so i dont see any trade secrets lol. i'm really just trying to avoid shipping chargers on both ends and 3 days of downtime for my daily driver.

nothing? hondata didn't release there product just cuz cobb said they were working on something.

hondata is a quality company that doesn't release products until they are well tested and they work. if hondata did not feel this flashpro was ready until this year nothing would make them rush a product out.
