i was thinking of getting some Luminics bulbs in the car..however, our stock high beams are 55w, and the lows are 51w...the luminics bulbs are 65w...will a 65w bulb damage the wiring or burn the lens housing in any way? or is it totally a ok?

the wires will burn and fuses will pop... you have to run new wires and run them through a relay... if you dont know how i wouldnt, it far too easy to burn down a car these days.

I can't comment on damage being done to the lens/housing but do you know what gauge the wire is?

Quick calculations show that a 65W bulb @ 12V = 5.4 Amps. 55W @ 12V = 4.6 Amps.
