Hey Everybody! I've been reading this forum for awhile and its helped me out alot, but today I bite the bullet and made an account because Im not sure if anyone has this same problem. Last week I was putting some coil overs on my 2007 Civic Si FA5, When I pulled back the trunk carpet I came across some inner fender rust/rot that I was unaware of. The rain drainage hose for the the trunk window cowl has been pouring water inside my fender and has rotted out alot of metal with it. Any suggestions on what I should do about this?

I believe that is a sunroof drain. I would grind/wire wheel most of the rust off and then apply a rust converter over it. Definitely make sure you fix the drain though.

Same issue I had but mine was worse before I fixed it. I will leave some pictures of the process. This was all done with rattle cans and sanding (all DIY).

Mine was in a wreck multiple times so thats why it rusted quick.

Great job dude! I definitley need to get my bumper off and take my carpet out to get a better idea of the whole damage, I think mine might need some welding though

Ouch, good luck! It isn't terrible to fix if welding is not involved.
