Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and have already learned a lot by reading. I did have a question pertinent to my own situation though.
I drive an '05 civic and I was looking into doing the false floor thing to mount my amp under and still get use out of my trunk. I have one Rockford amp and before I end up building a false floor, I was wondering if this would work:
I was looking at mounting the amp underneath the trunk floor by the spare tire (see picture)

Right now, I just had it sitting there not wired, so I could see if it would fit. I would obviously move the jumper cables and build a wooden base for it to rest on. My only wonder is if it would heat up too much. How could I go about keeping it cool, if this could be an issue. I intend to cover it by putting the trunk floor back down like so:

Thanks in advance for all the help guys.

it should be fine, it wont get all that hot, ive seen more enclosed units perform well. . . besides any good amp has protect circuits if it gets too hot
