Alright so this morning I was messing around in the car and I took the trim piece off that holds the shift boot. Well as I was taking this piece off one of the 4 little metal clips that hold it onto the center cousel fell off and into the shifter/transmission area. I then tried shifting through all the gears and it got stuck and wouldnt go into reverse so I tried shifting it a few times and the little piece fell loose and further into the transmission.

Any ideas how to get this piece out? I'm just worried that I'll be driving and it will get stuck in one of the gears and won't let me shift.

The transmission is under the hood, so it didnt fall further into it or into it at all.
If it was one of the metal clips I would suggest using a magnet. GL

Sounds like you will need to remove the center console and use a magnet to find the missing clip.

It's actually very easy, Let me know if you have any questions You have nothing to worry about really, as long as the shifter is able to go through all of the gears you are fine. But I understand that you want the clips back lol
