skunk2 stage 2 and Go power KSI give You the same peak HP but the key is mid range!!!
Go power give power from low rpm to the red line...Skunk2 only from +/- 6000rpm
Check RULO threat. He has dyno of go power ksi vs skunk2 st2 cams.
You should use "SEARCH" option. this question was on forum a few times!!

Actually, the skunk2 stg2 cams that was compared were the outdated ones...the version 3 stage 2 cams from skunk2 are on par and are the stage 2 cams that hondata has dynoed the highest for.... 254hp on a dynapack with just i/h/e, nothing else. hondata even gives that exact tune for you to upload from the flashpro. This is even higher than the latest IPS cams.

both cars have different headers and exhausts
get the go power ksi
unless u know hook ups like him^
my friend got the stg 2 and valvetrain package for 600
go-pwr.

If hondata dyno'd 254 horsepower with just i/h/e with those skunk2 stage 2's, it was because it was hub horsepower.

rulo dyno'd 255 on a dyno dynamics. His wheels were still bolted on :D
go-pwr.

rulo has more mods...

Throttle body.

Does that account for close to 15-20 more whp?

It doesn't matter, i believe both these sets of cams are great cams. but go-pwr ksi are a better overall choice.

This isn't a rate it and go with it kind of product. Results show. And the torque curve on the ksi's looks like stock just higher, which is a great thing.
Personally, I feel that IPS is still the best there is. Will give the best drivability and power throughout the rpm range. As for Skunk2 Stage2 outpowering IPS, while I doubt it, what is forgotten is the advantage IPS has in the mid to upper range. Who lives their lives at 8.5k everyday? Same goes for Go-Power KSi. These cams are brilliant in that they have very strong low cam lift, giving great throttle response and power in the midrange, while having good lift and duration on the high cam, thus giving good top end. Personally, I would go Go-Power over Skunk2 Stage2 any day of the week. They are a much better setup for everyday driving. If you run the Texas Mile everyday or race on a road course like Road America with a very long straight, get Skunk2 Stage2. If you want something with super sharp throttle response, great power down low and throughout the rpm range, go Go-Power.

Look again at rulo's thread. You missed something.

port matched intake manifold?

Injectors?

What is it i'm missing? If he didn't port match the intake manifold, what is the point of having the bored throttle body?
chill out homiez!!! Yes I have more mods, yes I have tuned at a different location, all I can say is that all my mods have gotten me 77whp and 51wtq, YMMV. To me that's more important than any number I may get. What's the purpose of looking at a finite number if I can't compare the actual gains? How do I know what mods work or don't work? The dyno is one way of quickly quantifying this, but and absolute number is not the end-all, be-all. Remember, dyno numbers are relative, the gains are what's important and how your car feels: smoothness, reliability, performance. It's a great balancing act, the dyno is only one of the many tools at your disposal...
my money on rulo i've seen adrian drive :rotfl: skunk2 ftw haha

lol, i'm prolly a less accomplished driver :D
haha guess i'll be switching to the skunk whore side
There are alot of difference that cannot be justified with simple numbers...Skunk2's have been know to be the hardest on valvetrain and tensioners while only giving you an advantage in the few hundred rpm's before redline.IPS and Go-pwr will give you more useable power and are not as harsh on valvetrain and the tensioner(to be fair the tensioner issue applies to almost all known cams,it's the stock tension that is mainly at fault and it can be corrected with an aftermarket tensioner).
i am debating between the same two and am in for updates
I wanna go with go power ksi cams one day, I wish

Correct. But the thing about most people on the forum is the higher # the better. Most don't understand that the numbers are not whats important but the gain is.
