my mom is looking for a new car. specifically a civic dx-vp sedan with an auto tranny. the dealer offered 15,500 before taxes and tags. anyways what would be a good price to offer with tax and tags included, and is 15,500 before taxes a good price?

thanks

coupe or sedan

edit: either way, I would try to get it lower. maybe 14,5. or 15. because for pretty much the base civic, it shouldn't be much. also never shop at just one dealer. go to one and ask if they could beat the other. then go back to the other and say that they beat your price and see if they can beat it.

i was getting a 2010 dx vp in pmm for 14.8 through zag.com -> that came out to 16.6 otd. i ended up not buying, will put it off until the middle of the summer.

Just picked up a new LX auto for 16.7 otd, just so you have something to compare.
