EDIT:Full Race 06+ Civic SI 3" exhaust system <-----PRICE LISTED HERE!!

You told us what you wanted and we listened!!! After receiving numerous phone calls, PM's, emails, and passenger pigeons from FA/FG all-motor & F/I enthusiasts as well as Top Tuners like Evans Tuning, telling us you needed a high quality 3" Exhaust - Full-Race is happy to say we are finished with our design, and the 1st Production Sample was an absolutely 100% perfect fit.

The FA/FG Civic exhausts are made out of high grade stainless steel, then welded and polished to a mirror finish. We use (2)ultra- high quality mufflers, which have huge flow rates and one of the nicest exhaust notes you've ever heard on a honda. Final pricing will be very competitive, and released in 1 week!

Please take a look at the following pics, and let us know what you guys think

^^The entire exhaust, fully installed. This took about 10 minutes to install

^^ I love this pic

^^^ They'll neeever guess whats under the hood... almost looks stock

^^showing OEM heat shield clearance and textbook Full-Race fitment

^^pic of rear axle clearance

Stock vs Full-Race

Again

A-Pipe comparison

btw - the production Exhausts will have some small changes to look even nicer :eek:hsnap: thanks for looking

****UPDATE 11/9/09 -- FITTED w/ HFP LIP & S2 PRO-C COILOVERS

Showing plenty of clearance and no cutting at all w/ HFP Lip:

Also plenty of clearance from the lowering springs, much more room than the S2 that was on the car before

Full-Race 3" exhaust directly next to skunk2 70mm. You can see some major differences in the pics:

^^^note all the extra bends and extra flange of the S2 *before* the first resonator

^^^note the restrictive bend just before the muffler

^^showing the extra large FR mufflers <no drone, no rasp!> and the 1 piece A pipe vs S2's 2 piece design

major differences between are:
1) FR is a higher flowing design -- less bends, and larger diameter piping/mufflers = less restriction and higher performance
2) FR uses much larger diameter mufflers which contain far more sound deadening.. the owner of this car complained about the drone and raspiness of the S2 exhaust, ours will be much more manageable (especially with a turbo)
3) FR only has (2) flanges making it very simple to install as compared to S2's 3-flange design

^^^ S2 70mm clearance

VS.

^^^ FR 76mm clearance

Geoff - Hope all is well. Haven't talked to you since I got the pro-stock Evo 8 manifold a few years ago.

Say, have you installed this on a bone stock SI and dyno'd it? Curious if it loses any tq? I understand this exhaust is for FI cars and such, but I know certain 76mm exhausts produce power on NA S2000's. Yes, I have a stock SI that I am trying to avoid modifying :). Thanks for your time.
glad to hear from you again! do you still have the evo?

We have installed this on many bonestock Si's, its very popular because this exhaust is designed not to lose any torque on a stock engine w/ catalytic converter all the way up to a heavily modded Si.

I can not find the non-turbo FG/FA civic dynocharts on my laptop computer, will have to pull that off the dyno computer next time I am there.

Geoff - No sir, I sold it, got married, had a kid, built a house and then bought this 2011 SI and a s2000. It went to a guy in IL who is winning in NASA series with it. He loves it...With your manifold, FP green and race gas, he made close to 450 on it tuned at AMS. He is kickin ass with it. I see you got an Evo tho :)

Wow if it loses no torque - you should look at a system like this for the s2000. You have no idea how many people want a quiet, affordable 3" single - Most maadtiiteJDMy0! systems are loud and ridiculously priced. Most other cheaper singles are loud, drone or rasp.

Full-race knows turbos like no other, so might as well produce an exhaust! :dancing:
Question...if i am running the skunk2 alpha series cat-less race headers, do i still need the adapter or will the exhaust bolt right up to the header?

the skunk2 "Catless" race headers use a special 3-bolt flange which bolts to 2.5 and 3" exhausts, no adaptor necessary

HOWEVER - it must be the catless version, if you have the s2 alpha header that is listed on the skunk2 website, with a 2 bolt flange then it would require the cat and also the adaptor

Full-Race's s2000 exhaust is in the works! We have been receiving many requests from S2k's and RSX's so these are in the pipeline. FWIW we plan to stick with the traditional 3" exhaust, single outlet. i am not a fan of dual muffler exhausts, it adds expense, weight, restriction/pressure drop and is not any quieter than a high quality single outlet exhaust. Do you agree, or do you feel the s2k should be dual exit? thank you for your input :wavey:

wow, im right behind you! i get married in april and before i know it will probably have a kid. Great to hear your evo went to a good home and still continues to kick butt

I got a great deal on a 2003 evo8, and completely tore it down to nothing before building it back up. I have a long weekend ahead of myself - but should have it fired up on saturday of this week. fingers crossed

Even after over a year of having the exhaust, I still get a big smile in my face everytime I step on the gas AND I haven't been pulled over since adding it to the car. Full-Race you really hit something with this exhaust!
great to hear 1.5 years later you are still loving the exhaust oriol!! I just drove 2500miles in 3 days, with this exhaust on - great trip and my girl didnt complain once :)

So heres the crisis with this, the alpha series header does in fact eliminate the cat BUT i do notice the 2-bolt flange. Would this be something i would still use the adapter for? Or would it be better to have a 3-bolt flange welded on in place of the 2-bolt?

Edit: Just looked on that sight and if you expand the pictures, it looks like it comes with a 2-bolt to 3-bolt adapter. I will be contacting Skunk2 for confirmation but it looks like my problem is solved before it began. LOL
So i contacted skunk2 and indeed, the header DOES come with a 2-bolt - 3-bolt flange adapter so everything should be OK. I will be contacting you guys soon for a package in the mail ^_^
OH ok, thanks for looking into that. Im a turbo guy myself so I really dont know the details on each company's different NA headers. glad you got it figured out :)

Yeah they confirmed it but i do hear there are issues with the donut gasket being leaky >.<. Im looking into a fix for this.

As far as NA, imo it NA all the way! Not looking for epic HP numbers, just a VERY quick DD thats also a street/track beast. NA fits my budget and build better and the Full-Race 3" exhaust is perfect since i will be camming it up. And besides, the K LOVES to breathe! lol:vtec:

ohhh :tap: so youve never ridden in a Full-Race turbokit equipped K-series Civic is what i just took away from that :umad: jk jk -- wait to solidify your opinion until you get that experience, the first turbo civic i was in at age 17 changed my life

LOL! I agree that boosted K's are AMAZING fast...like vette killer fast, but this is going to be my DD and i dont wanna spend TOO much money on building the internals to handle the kind of boost that i would want to push thru it...lol! Im also trying to build a FD2 CTR conversion and i though NA would be more true to the direction i wanna go.
on a 100% stock 06+ si engine if you keep the boost low and the tune conservative - you can get a LOT more bang-for-your-buck turbocharging the stock k20 than doing an all motor build. I agree boost is not for everyone, just suggesting do the research first before spending your hard earned $$!

You present a great argument but mr---> :police: would be close behind with my foot as heavy as it is. I have an electronic throttle controler on my GD Fit set to the highest eco setting to help prevent me from getting tickets as it is lol

The biggest issues on the s2000 is drone and rasp, if you can address those two along with flow, you are set!!!! If you look at some of the competitors like HKS, ARK and Evasive, they are now utilizing a helmholtz resonator which is what really cuts down on the drone and rasp. JDM manufactures like Amuse also incorporate one in their systems.

But, I am with you - the dual is weight, expense and impacts flow. I have a comptech dual exhaust which is very high quality, FANTASTIC for sound, but does nothing for flow and weight reduction...LOL

For AP1's (00-03), the single exhaust looks good and a cut-out cover will easily hide the other outlet. On AP2's, the cut-out covers are not pretty and from pure aesthetics, the single looks awkward on them. But, its very popular.

Be prepared, s2k owners are among the pickiest, some will always want the dual, they will talk about balance of the car, looks, sound and such. You will be surprised how anal they are.

If you want to talk s2000 exhausts, holler at me anytime via PM too - I can tell you what I know and point you in the right direction. Whatever I can do to help.

Oh - I saw your Evo build thread - love you how did the X control arms. Way to go out of the box, man! But, I expect nothing less from you :) Congrats on the marriage. The baby will change your life, so be prepared!!!! :wigglesmiley:

thanks so much for your feedback - i totally agree. In fact the Civic Si exhaust market is very similar! A lot of si exhausts like skunk2 suffer from drone and rasp compared to Full-Race. I am confident we can apply the same design as our 06+ Si exhaust and provide the flow and lightweight combination of a true, single 3" exhaust. no additional helmholtz resonator required. I will test both configurations regardless

agreed 100%. if we can deliver the flow, the weight reduction and great sound - then we have a winner. thats my job to deliver

again, great input. What cut out covers are most people using? Ill find a way to make a single look sexy :)

the s2k owners who demand a dual will simply have to look else. Full-Race delivers function over fashion every-single-time. IMO that means high-quality 3" exhaust, single outlet. perfect fitment, great sound, top shelf performance. that is my target

Ive got to bust ass this weekend and get this evo finished so i can jam on my R14! its going to be a busy bit of time, but i want to get both cars finished and fully built before i get married (odd priorities, i know..) Ill definitely be keeping in touch once we get further on the s2000 design process. Would you mind shooting me an email at geoff[at]full-race[dot]com and ill bounce some ideas off you? thanks for the kind words.
