I just installed my SRI fujita intake on my 06 SI. Car was hot so i did not use that coolant hose but instead just left the old one on which i dont think should be a problem.

But while trying to install the map sensor on the fujita intake pipe, the map sensor could not go all the down, it looks like its on there ok and a bit of the o-ring on the sensor is showing........I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem?


the sensor is more than 3/4 of the way down, but its not sitting flush.

Thats a bit strange... I just put this intake on my FG2 and I had no problems with the fitment of that sensor... It was a little snug but I gently twisted till it slid into place... and tightened it all the way down with the screws.

it SHOULD fit perfectly. Make sure something isn't sitting inside the tube and obstructing it from going all the way in. I doubt there is but you never can tell.

yeah i was just trying to push it down, i twisted as you said and its on there flush!

i think your talking about the maf sensor.. our map sensor is in the intake manifold.. could u provide pic's so we could see what your talking about, might better help to fix your problem

mine had the same problem.. went up to autosone and bought a thinner o-ring.. it fit without it.. but had to use spit-lube.

yes I got the MAP and MAF sensor mixed up, i meant the MAF. The first person that responded knew what i was talking about and problem is all solved now.


Is it ok that i left th original coolant hose on? I did not change it at the time of replacing the intake b/c the car was still kind of hot

you wont get all the power out of the intake system.. but yeah.. you'll be fine as far as daily driving is concerned

Just let the car cool for a couple hours or even over night next time you have time and swap the hoses. It will look better and you won't have to worry.
