Hello.

Got a 2008 FA1 here, and I’ve noticed that the fuel gauge goes down very quickly.

If you look at this photo (ignore the TPMS light LOL):
Speedometer Trip computer Car Vehicle Odometer

You can see that I’ve only drove 3.3 miles since I filled it back up, and it’s already gone down a bar on the gauge. My previous 8th gen, a 2006 FG1 would go down a bar at 24-30 miles. And I also noticed that when the fuel light comes on and I fill it back up, it only puts in about 9 gallons, which mean the light is coming on early.

What do you guys think the problem is? Could it be the fuel level sending unit?

mine has started doing this too. I fill it up and maybe drive 20 miles; gauge goes wayyyyy down but after awhile, it goes back up. I'm about to have 121K service done; I'll have that checked.

Mine seems "off" too. Like supposedly one should get about 400 miles to the tank, but the gauge reads only about 1/3 full after 200 miles.

Of course the top bar disappears just pulling out of the gas station.

I just figured maybe it is built that way as a safety measure so people don't let the tank run dry before filling.
