Hey, I've been on 8th for a while and I'm looking to step foot into maybe going to some meets. I live in the Fort Myers area. I do travel to Miami most of my weekends though. But I'm not sure where to start. I don't know anyone else with a 8th, so I'm totally new. I just love the cars and I wanna get to know some new people and maybe get some advice on my own ride.

HFP lip kit too.

Have you been lurking here for a while before pulling the trigger on an SI?
oh, what car did you trade for?

You have any plans for it?
2003 bmw 325
trying to upload pic but for some reason it wont work
whats the hfp lip?
Gotta get a jpeg link and use the
yellow picture icon to post it.

HFP lips are the aero kit thats around the bottom part of the car. Makes it look more sharp.

if you use a URL link you have to use the
icon. If you don't wanna post the actual picture but just a link.

yea it wont work for some reason.
but the coils are nice i like them it isnt to harsh, is it easy to adjust?
yeah they have damper knobs on them to stiffen or soften them up.

you plan on leaving it the way it sits?
anything about the car you don't like? doesn't it have JDM "H" emblems?
is that the red H in the front?
yeah, and usually the same in the rear. both are put on as a pair.
19 but im a newb to honda
you can ask me stuff if you need help and i'll try my best. with that car especially. I know a bit about honda's.
You joined a really good forum. The people on here are great and can be very helpful. Good people.

The fort myers thread can often be dead sometimes as I guess there aren't very many people on this particular thread. I know the tampa thread is usually jumpin more so on average than this thread. But I will always check this thread. Especially since you're new and could need help.

You from Florida?
damn thats what i wanted but couldnt find one
no thats a great car that you have man. I loved my Si when I had it. Love it! I didn't have to trade it in but I felt that while it was in fantastic condition and had low miles considering that it was 5.5 years old that it was time. I miss it though sometimes.

the 8thgen Si is the one to have. Nobody hardly likes the new 9thgen Si's. Ugly in my opinion. The 8thgen Si's are the ones to have.
was this your old car cause the dealer said the guy that traded it in got a wrx??
yes, you got me. That is my old car matt.
like I said before, if you have questions about that car in particular, I can help you. I installed the HFP lip kit, the JDM emblem, the Buddy Club N+ coilovers. I did all the work to that car myself. Those Yokohama tires are fairly new too. Got them about 6 months ago.
and I did not beat on that car either. I just drove to work and back.

I used shell 93 Premium gas (ofcourse) in it ONLY! And I used Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 oil in it aswell with the Mobil 1 extended performance oil filter with it. Good quality stuff is all I ever used for that car.

I cringed at the thought of maybe seeing someone here in town driving it but you seem cool so far so I'm glad.
yea man its a sweet car and in good condition
Yeah, feel good about it cause i took good care of it. I wanted you to know that. You can feel good about owning it. I always kept the inside clean like you found it the first day. The paint I kept clean as much as I could. I was OCD with it.

I did my own oil changes and tire rotations. I never had to do any major work to it. Just oil changes. I have the Coilover wrenches that go with them still. I forgot to throw them with the car. Did you get the lug nut keys with the car? What all did they give to you cause i put a lot of the stock stuff in the car and brought it there. They wanted all the stock parts. Incase they couldn't sell it all molded up.

Never did any engine work to it. I had some niceass hid lights in it but the left side relay must've gotten wet and malfunctioned so i took them out and put the stock halogen bulbs back in.

It might be me but they may have went higher on the coils about a half inch to a full inch. Seemed lower but Im not sure.

What did the guys you work with say? Cause i used to drive it through that carwash area just to pass by.

I know some of them have nodded cars. I think I seen that vdub there. I wanted to go more flush and get wielded wheels for it but never got the chance. Those Enkei wheels aren't cheap man.
Oh yeah I bough that SI brand new with 6 miles on it back in March 07. I was the only owner of it besides you now. I don't smoke and never got into any accidents.
