Although the broken tab occurred some odd seasons ago, leaving it be wasn't necessarily a good idea for me. You will see why after the pics.

Any ideas how to fix the tab first before I fix everything else? I hear brackets work, but if someone has any other ideas and elaborate then please do. Help me! :(

I have fixed a urethane bumper bumper by taking a chunk of bumper from a hidden location and using a soldering iron and welding the chunk on. Is the black plastic bracket that bolted to the fender broken too?
No. I have replaced my whole fender liner now. Soldering iron does sound good though.

how did you do that going cover a cone??
No idea. I assume it went and jammed itself in there until enough damage was made for it to get out.

Any more ideas? I still didn't get this fixed yet. I might go for the epoxy putty idea unless it is hard to work with.

this actually happened to me last week. i just zip tied it in that specific location to keep me from fixing it all the time. it still comes off a little though and it's irritating. i need to figure out how to fix this myself.

what type of brackets were you thinking of?

I got a way to fix it. You'll need arts and craft skills. Measure the width from both edges where the damage is. Now, measure the length from the left hole to the right edge (your bottom pic above). With these measurements, cut a piece of plastic to those dimensions 1/8" thick. We'll call this piece the RP or "replacement piece". Using YOUR JUDGEMENT, apply the RP UNDERNEATH the bumper fastening it to the bumper with a couple of small/short screws. The goal should be (using your bottom pic above) 2 small screws should penetrate the left plastic and 1 on the right, close to the original hole. Now, you should be able to to use the RP like the original plastic, just drill your hole and put the bumper back on. I'll submit a pic to help. Further note: I've tried EPOXY and GLUE before and it makes a mess and doesn't hold.

Crazy....I thought about making this topic or searching for it a while ago....but did not. Then I saw this topic title on the main page and almost didn't click it.

Great advice...like they say, "Don't know why I didnt think of this."
I just put the screw back in and pushed the bumper back in. Looks ok, but this should make it more secure.
These bumpers come off so easy...I went off a curb on both sides...barely...and wham! lol
