Interesting by Ford,where is GM and Dodge at? still picking their ass,twirling their thumbs? this is similar to VW's FSI system but better. Interesting to see an American manufacturer do this while GM and Chrysler group still don't know what to do. Now Ford bring over your Global model cars.

I find myself wondering if the new Ford engines will suffer from the whole fuel dilution thing that seems to be affecting the VW/Audi engines.

It doesn't surprise me one bit that they've come up with this. It's obviously the spawn of their European market. About 3 years ago, Ford spoke about building the Euro focus with the 2.5t from the Volvo S40s and S60s. Buy a car company, get their technology. Study it, work with it and then call it your own.

disi is a form of gasoline direct injection... ford helped develope the new four and sixes with mazda so im sure twinforce is similar to turbocharged disi

you're missing the point dude. the point is 275HP rwd base mustang

now, even if the mustang does not get the duratec 4 cylinder ecoboost and just get the duratec 35 n/a you can turbo that since it was designed with the ecoboost turbo in mind and get that same 340 HP and 340 TQ for a base mustang. that's earlier cobra levels of power in a base mustang... imagine the possibilities.
