i came across some wheels i really like. The Crown Vic wheels, theyre 16x7 probably a +40 offset. anyway i wanted to know what type of tire i should get. im on Tein s-techs currently so im not dropped that much. my oem tire setup was 225/55r16 i believe? and so i was wondering should i do a 205/40 or 205/45 tire? the stock tire size is way too big! it makes my car look Stock height im currently on 215/45Zr17 and they look decent enough andthe wheel is just a 17x7+40.

so what do you guys recomend and actually do yall know if the TPMS will work in those wheels?

here's stock:

205/40 is a no no. Far too small.

If they're a 16x7, stick with 205/50's. Beefy tire yet its not beefy.

45's are for like 17's.

So are you more concerned with ride height or gap between fender and tire?

Your OEM tire size is 205/55/16. You can probably bump that to 215/50/16 since the Crown Vic wheel is wider.

Well the guy at the tire shop showed me the 205/45 and they are short! So the guy pulled out a 195/50 and They looked better! The CrownVictoria wheels have a low offset I believe so they look kinda wide ImageUploadedByAG Free1360428391.721714.jpg

They are lower than stock and better. Maybe I shouldve gone with a 205/50 but he had only 2 . They look good though

Actually Randomtask77 my OEM ex wheel tires are 225/55 which I felt was too much tire! Granted its safe but damn the tire was pretty big. So 195/50 looks good but should've gone slightly wider

Theyre 2 versions of the crown vic rims. One is 16x7 +7 and another 16x7 +16 or +17. I sold a set to my buddy and he put it on his ep3 and it sits pretty flush and the tire size he was running was 195/45/16

I really want the higher offset. These stick out too much for my liking they look by 9 but they're not so I have to camber and I hate camber! I keep looking on my local 240 forum (houston240) and don't find any:/
