is there a DIY on taking out the TPMS light bulb? i didnt see anything in the DIY section
I'm also 'serious' about having a daily driver."Nice" and "All-Season" don't go together if you're serious about performance as anyone that's experienced the difference between the two types of tires first-hand can tell you!
How does your car being a daily driver mean you need all season tires? Im not saying there is anything wrong with AS tires... but your response to OrdnanceMarine's post makes it seem as if AS tires are 'necessary' for a DD ... which they absolutely are not.I'm also 'serious' about having a daily driver.
:sadwavy:Ugh, I failed at reading this thread before buying new TPMS sensors for my new wheels. $89 programming is ftl.
But, on the bright side, I learned that installing TPMS sensors is really easy.
not that i know of... getting rid of that light isnt worth tearing apart your dash, IMO. i'd rather just adjust my steering wheel so it blocks my view of itis there a DIY on taking out the TPMS light bulb? i didnt see anything in the DIY section
:rotfl: That's what I've been doing.not that i know of... getting rid of that light isnt worth tearing apart your dash, IMO. i'd rather just adjust my steering wheel so it blocks my view of it
Id rather pay $89 than tear apart my dash, too. But I'd still rather just adjust my steering wheel for free, lol.:rotfl: That's what I've been doing.
But, really, before reading this, I tried everything but ripping my dash apart. I'd much rather suck it up and pay the $89.
the purpose is for the government to ensure that the idiots who dont know how to check their tires cant sue when they get in an accident as a result of improper tire pressure. thus, hanging the rest of us out to dryPardon my not-wanting to read through the whole thread, but what's the purpose of a TPMS again? Doesn't everyone check their pressure every few weeks anyway? Or is it a feature designed to alert us to dangerous/noteworthy tire-pressure changes as we're driving along...which means we should pull over and check it out...type of thing?
and also to save on gas because properly inflated tires can increase mpg.the purpose is for the government to ensure that the idiots who dont know how to check their tires cant sue when they get in an accident as a result of improper tire pressure. thus, hanging the rest of us out to dry
i was being feciciousand also to save on gas because properly inflated tires can increase mpg.
i wish i could find the thread... but i believe that product has been discussed before and found to not work for our cars.
Since the Tire Rack is a site sponsor, it might be a good idea to contact them via their forum and ask if they can try it personally or if they will allow you to return it if it doesn't work.i wish i could find the thread... but i believe that product has been discussed before and found to not work for our cars.
however, at merely $105, i guess it couldnt hurt to try.
tpms was not introduced on the civic until 2008Ok can someone tell me if our 2007 LX sedan has TPMS? I have looked over the owners manual and cant find it.
When the thread was started it states about a ! or the letters on the dash, neither is stated on the indicator pages of the manual.
Thanks!
