So.. yeah, there... I'm having a custom downpipe and exhaust fabricated. What would be the optimal diameter for the pipes?

Does progressive piping work? I'm thinking of the ff:
3" Downpipe
2.5" Midpipe
2.25" Exhaust pipe.
That way, exhaust velocity grows as the gases exit, thus minimizing loss in torque.

Am I doing the right thing?

I'm also planning of using my stock resonator and place it just after the midpipe, instead of where it is right now at the back (just in front of the rear tire)
