Hello Everyone! I have recently got back into the Honda Game after years of not having anything fun at all. In the past, I have owned 2 EM1 SI's, an EG that had a B18 swap and a full roll cage, a 94 Integra GSR, and two EKs. After buying a house and starting a family, fun cars were put on the back burner. Now that my son is nearing three I have much more free time than I did when he was first born. Although my passion for cars was never gone, there have been a few cool events come to my state here recently that have really got it blazing again. DriftAppalachia had an event local to me, then HillFest WV really got me excited to be back in something cool. The night I got back from HillFest I sold my 4Runner and set a time to check out the FA5.

My SI was advertised as a one owner car with 165k and no issues (minus the AC not working). It was also mentioned there were no oil leaks, and fresh paint... LOL you can see the Haziness in this picture.

A quick picture of the car after my first time driving it to work. Wheel bearing started making some noise and had some serious play. Race was stuck on the hub. after getting it removed, I broke the spindle trying to press the remaining outer race from it. After searching high and low for a spindle locally, I purchased a used one from Ebay. Next on the list was fixing the AC. The first issue I found was my core support was bent back causing the fan shroud to rest against the compressor and broke all of the wires coming from the compressor. I straightened the core support and moved along. PO sold me a compressor with the car. After removing the old compressor and trying to install the new one, it was not for a civic. So back to square one. On the original compressor, I wired a new connector for the compressor and as a result on the harness as well to match it. Next, I replaced the liquid AC line that was bent from the core support being moved. The AC then would work flawlessly while at idle then stop working once moving. I removed the shim in the compressor clutch and that fixed that issue. Immediately after bringing the car home I notice a massive oil leak, that was simple. VTEC solenoid gasket replaced. This past weekend I spent time polishing the paint due to whoever painting doing a horrible job and leaving the paint cloudy with no shine. Here are some current pictures of the car.

And that gets you up to date! I love this car and plan to enjoy it for a long time. Quite honestly I am already burned out of buying someone else’s junk and spending time and money to get it reliable. Future plans are some coilovers and wheels. I would love to take this car to a couple track days at Mid-ohio or VIR next year. Ill update this as I mod the car!
