I am about to start replacing the clutch on 2007 honda civic and I have done this job on other vehicles by removing the engine from the trans while leaving the trans in place. The technique I use is to jack the engine side of the car up and also jack the trans then hoist out the engine at an angle so the input shaft of the trans can clear the pressure plate. Im wondering if this is possible with the civic and will I have to separate the shift linkage to jack the trans up a couple inchs?
